LOCAL AREA

Ovacik is situated on the south-west corner of Turkey on the Mediterranean coast with stunning scenery, views and protected national forestry. Nearby Hisaronu continues to grow as a popular entertainment resort due to its wide range of restaurants, bars and nightclubs.

With a relatively flat landscape, it is ideal for leisurely walks. It is nestled between Oludeniz, with its world-famous Blue Lagoon and beach, and Fethiye with its magnificent harbour, historical ruins and shopping.

ACTIVITIES

DIVING

Oludeniz attracts divers from all over the world because of its warm, crystal-clear water.

As the sea is tide free it attracts an abundance of marine life due to it being very warm and calm.  It is great for both beginners and more experienced divers and the schools in the area offer a range of trips to wet even the most adventurous of appetites.

Ranging from the shallow calm reefs teeming with life to the eerie caverns, fascinating walls, dramatic drop offs, thrilling tunnels and attractive swim-through arches coated in soft corals, feather dusters and sponges there is something for all levels of divers.

SAILING/BOAT HIRE

It is hard to imagine a more totally relaxing day than one aboard a traditional Turkish gulet as it sails or motors along the heart-stoppingly beautiful Turquoise Coast.

Days are spent in unashamed indulgence as the crew take care of the sailing and navigation.

The major daily decisions are whether to swim, snorkel or windsurf, go ashore and visit an inviting archaeological site or pretty beachside village or just drift and dream on your comfortable deck mattress.

BOAT TRIPS

Board the boat in Ölüdeniz for a day you won't forget. Swim in the Blue Cave before stepping ashore at Butterfly Valley. For the more energetic, a climb up to the Waterfall, where you might spot a rare Tiger Butterfly is not to be missed.

Lunch is served on the boat before a stop at St Nicholas Island where you can climb among ruins to the top of the island for magnificent views.

For the daring of you a swim at "Cold Spring Bay" where a fresh water spring leaks in to the sea is most refreshing! (Masks and snorkels available on the boat).

TURKISH DINING

Whilst in Turkey why not try some traditional Turkish cuisine ?

The food  in Turkey is varied and has plenty of quality restaurants that will suit all tastes and budgets including Chinese, Mexican, Indian, Kebabs and Pizzas.

Turkish cuisine is renowned as one of the world's best. It is considered to be one of the three main cuisines of the world because of the variety of its recipes, its use of natural ingredients, its flavours and tastes that appeal to all palates and its influence throughout Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Africa.

WATER PARK
NIGHTLIFE

Oludeniz Water World Aquapark in Ovacik has 9 slides, a childrens pool, wave pool and  swimming pool.

There is big cafe and two bars serving cold drinks & ice creams, a  tent café with Turkish national food ‘gozleme’ and pancakes and  a small shop selling towels and swim suits. Always a  fun day out for all the family.

HORSE RIDING

Riding centres (many of them which are English owned and run) cater for all ages and abilities, with the pace of the ride dependent on the routes chosen and the experience of the riders.

Treks combine riding in ancient ruins of towns and villages, through fragrant pine forests and tiny Turkish villages untouched and unspoiled by tourism.

Oludeniz has a unique style when it comes to night life!

Most of the bars are lined up right along the promenade so they are overlooking the stunning Oludeniz beach.

Oludeniz bar culture could be compared to that of Sydney or Venice beach of Los Angeles with their relaxed easy going attitude and informal but stylish atmosphere with music compared to that of Ibiza.

You will find everything from Turkish theme nights to British sports bars, 60s discos or full-on nightclubs. Most clubs are centred around the main street of the town.

Being set at high altitude the town also has the advantage of being cooler and less humid than the coast, a pleasant refuge to retreat to after a day in the summer sun.

PARAGLIDING

Babadag (Father Mountain) towering above Oludeniz on the Southwest coast of Turkey is a geological marvel that just happens to make for incredible thermals and ideal conditions for paragliding flight.

Oludeniz is reputedly the best site in Europe, if not the world, to fly paragliders cross-country in both solo and tandem modes.

JEEP SAFARI

There are many "Jeep Safari's" on offer. Our favourite  allows you to discover ancient cultures, village life and beautiful countryside, stopping at the must see Saklikent Hidden Canyon. Here you can splash about in the refreshing icy water or just relax at one of the many traditional cafes.
